Cheryl Burke is a dancer…and a champion!

Born in 1984 in California, Cheryl’s love for dance developed at a young age. At only four years of age Cheryl took ballet lessons and began performing locally. She would later begin to explore both ballroom dance and Latin dances and today dance is the bottom line for Cheryl.

Cheryl is now best known for dancing her for the hit ABC television show Dancing with Stars.”  She won top title twice before anyone else dancing with Drew Lachey and again with Emmitt Smith.  She continues to impress the judges by dancing her heart out and helping her new celebrity teammate during each season.

Cheryl understands the high pressure real women face in trying to look perfect. She has struggled with her weight under unforgiving performance lights and in front of television cameras.  She has even been criticized by the media in the past. Cheryl has learned to stay focused on her dreams and to live an active lifestyle, learning healthy eating habits, combating harsh criticisms and trying to show both women and young girls how to work hard, try their best and simply be themselves.

But Cheryl isn’t simply a winning dancer.  She’s a champion!  In addition to winning the top title on Dancing with the Stars Cheryl has also won the San Francisco Latin Championship, the World Cup Professional Rising Star Championship, and the Asian Excellence award for Viewer’s Choice for Favorite Television Personality. Cheryl also continues to impress as a choreographer.  She was nominated twice for an Emmy in Outstanding Choreography (2006). Cheryl has shown to be a true inspiration to youth and young adults alike by taking home the Role Model Award at the 7th Annual Filipino-American Library Gala (2007).

In addition to winning these vaious awards Cheryl opened her own studio in the spring of 2008.  This studio has become extremely successful and now has locations in Silicon Valley and Orange County.   Other opportunities have risen for Cheryl as she moves into guest performing sposts, talk show appearances, attending exclusive Hollywood events and even acting in roles on such shows as The Disney Channel sensation The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Due to her talent and passion in the incredibly demanding field, Cheryl has made a name for herself and will continue to be a active and healthy role model for real women everywhere.
